Understanding machinery capacity
A number is only useful when you know what it measures.
Material and stream
Confirm whether the figure refers to whole kernels, prepared material, first-press cake, wet EFB or another stream. Distinguish feed throughput from oil or fibre output.
Time and operating schedule
Keep the stated unit intact: tonnes per hour and tonnes per 24 hours are not interchangeable without the operating-hour basis. Ask whether stoppages and feed interruptions are included.
Pressing stage and condition
Identify first or second pressing and the feed condition. The same model may have a different duty at another stage.
Reference versus acceptance
Nominal or typical catalogue data is a selection reference. Final acceptance needs a defined feed basis, sampling method and agreed operating conditions.
General enquiry guidance. Follow the equipment manual and site procedures for operation, inspection and maintenance.
